Laundry Detergent Production Process

1. Detergent Powder Plant with Spray Drying Tower

Solid and liquid raw materials are precisely dosed, neutralized and aged. The slurry is homogenized and sent to the spray drying tower to form hollow base powder (0.20–0.35 kg/L bulk density, 0.5–1.5 mm particle size). Optional post-addition unit mixes perfume, enzymes and other additives to make medium and high-grade detergent powder.
 

2. Concentrated Detergent Powder Plant with Agglomerator

Solid materials are sieved, premixed and accurately metered into the agglomerator; liquid materials are sprayed in simultaneously. Agglomerated particles go through fluidized bed for drying. Minor ingredients are added via post-addition unit to produce high-density concentrated detergent powder (0.45–0.8 kg/L).
 

3. Computerized Central Control Room

The whole line adopts PLC automatic control. It realizes programmed start/stop, equipment interlock, real-time data monitoring, formula adjustment, data recording and report printing. Equipped with running display screen, alarm system and manual/automatic mode switch. All solid and liquid materials are automatically proportioned by computer.
 

4. Tower-Agglomerator Combined Plant

This integrated line manufactures both low and high-density detergent powder (0.28–0.7 kg/L). With 70% materials processed by agglomeration, it achieves remarkable energy saving.
 

5. Post-addition Unit

Base powder, enzymes, perborate and other solid additives are fed into the rotary mixer, while liquid ingredients like perfume and nonionic surfactants are sprayed inside. All components are fully blended for uniform finished products. This unit can add up to 30% of total raw materials.
