Complete Process Flow of Ammonium Sulfate Production Line
Raw materials: Concentrated sulfuric acid (produced from pyrite‑based acid making), gaseous ammonia
1. Raw Material Conveying: Concentrated sulfuric acid is delivered from storage tank; liquid ammonia is vaporized to obtain gaseous ammonia.
2. Neutralization Reaction: Concentrated sulfuric acid and gaseous ammonia are fed into the neutralization reactor. A highly exothermic neutralization reaction takes place to produce ammonium sulfate slurry. Control the ratio of acid to ammonia and strictly regulate free acid content.
3. Evaporation and Concentration: The ammonium sulfate slurry is sent to the evaporation system for concentration to supersaturation.
4. Crystallization: Ammonium sulfate crystals are precipitated in the crystallizer.
5. Solid‑Liquid Separation: A centrifuge separates the mother liquor, which is recycled back to the evaporation process.
6. Drying and Cooling: Crystals are fed into a fluidized bed for drying and cooling.
7. Screening and Classification: Qualified particles are screened out.
8. Finished‑product packaging; waste gas recovery and treatment.

1. It can be directly connected to the pyrite‑based sulfuric acid plant for on‑site utilization of self‑produced concentrated sulfuric acid;
2. The neutralization process features mature and reliable technical routes, suitable for large‑scale fertilizer projects;
3. It can produce agricultural‑grade ammonium sulfate, and switch operating conditions to manufacture industrial‑grade ammonium sulfate;
4. EPC Turnkey Solution: process package, equipment fabrication, installation and commissioning, personnel training, adapted for overseas fertilizer and chemical projects.
Uses of Ammonium Sulfate Products
1. Agricultural fertilizer (primary use): A quick‑acting nitrogen fertilizer that supplies nitrogen and sulfur elements. Suitable for wheat, corn, fruit trees and vegetables. Especially fit for alkaline soils. Can be used as base fertilizer and top‑dressing. Avoid long‑term heavy application in paddy fields.
2. Industrial applications: Leaching of rare‑earth ores, dye auxiliaries, electroplating, and raw materials for biochemical fermentation.
3. Mineral processing industry: Precipitant for rare‑earth extraction.
