Name: Calcium Chloride Production Line
Source: Calcium chloride is produced through the neutralization reaction between industrial hydrochloric acid and limestone (calcium carbonate, CaCO₃).
Process Route: Hydrochloric acid (HCl) undergoes neutralization reaction with limestone (CaCO₃). Impurity removal, filtration, evaporative concentration, crystallization and drying are carried out to yield calcium chloride products of different forms.

1. Liquid Calcium Chloride: 25‑35% aqueous solution, colorless transparent liquid
2. Calcium Chloride Dihydrate: CaCl₂·2H₂O, flake / granular, purity ≥74%
3. Anhydrous Calcium Chloride: CaCl₂, spherical / granular, purity ≥94%
Main Applications of Calcium Chloride
1. Road De‑icing and Snow‑melting: De‑icing and snow‑melting agent for road surfaces in winter (the largest application scenario overseas)
2. Desiccant: Gas drying and industrial moisture‑proof desiccant
3. Water Treatment: Wastewater treatment for fluoride ion removal; cooling water conditioning

Complete Process Flow of Calcium Chloride Production Line
1. Raw Material Feeding: Industrial hydrochloric acid and limestone calcium carbonate ore are fed into the reactor;
2. Neutralization Reaction: 2HCl + CaCO₃=CaCl₂+ H₂O + CO₂↑. The reaction generates calcium chloride solution and releases carbon dioxide gas;
3. Impurity Removal and Filtration: Insoluble ore impurities are removed to obtain clear calcium chloride mother liquor;
4. Evaporative Concentration: The mother liquor is concentrated by a multi‑effect evaporator;
5. Crystallization Granulation / Flaking: Liquid calcium chloride, calcium chloride dihydrate and anhydrous calcium chloride are produced according to product forms;
6. Drying and Packaging: Solid products are cooled, sieved, packaged and put into storage; liquid products are stored in tanks and filled.
Process Characteristics of Calcium Chloride Production Line
1. Consumes by‑product hydrochloric acid from chlor‑alkali production to absorb hydrochloric acid capacity, suitable for supporting construction in chlor‑alkali plants;
2. The reaction system suffers acid corrosion, so equipment is lined with anti‑corrosion materials;
3. Flexible production switch among liquid, dihydrate and anhydrous calcium chloride of various specifications;
