Capacity: Matched with combined soda‑ash units, 5‑30 ten thousand tons per year for a single set
Process Flow of Ammonium Chloride Production Line by Combined‑Soda Process
Raw materials: Coal / Natural gas → Water‑gas conversion → Production of H₂ and CO₂; Synthesis of ammonia NH₃ from N₂ and H₂; Raw salt NaCl brine
1. Ammonia absorption: Brine absorbs ammonia gas to form ammoniated brine
2. Carbonation: CO₂ is introduced for carbonation reaction, precipitating sodium bicarbonate (NaHCO₃) sediment
3. Filtration and separation: NaHCO₃ is sent to calcination to produce soda ash (Na₂CO₃); Mother liquor 1 is obtained
4. Salt is added to Mother liquor 1, and ammonium chloride (NH₄Cl) crystals are precipitated by cooling
5. Filter and separate ammonium chloride crystals; Mother liquor 2 is recycled back to the ammonia‑absorption section for reuse
6. Ammonium chloride crystals: separation, drying and screening → finished ammonium chloride product
Characteristics of Ammonium Chloride Production Line
1. Combined soda‑ash co‑production process: one set of facility yields both soda ash and ammonium chloride; closed‑loop circulation of mother liquor generates little waste liquid.
2. Capable of producing agricultural‑grade ammonium chloride. A refining and purification section can be added to manufacture industrial‑grade ammonium chloride.
3. Suitable for overseas projects with coal or natural gas resources that require both soda ash and nitrogen fertilizer.
4. EPC turn‑key service: process package, equipment manufacturing, installation and commissioning, personnel training. The ammonium chloride unit can be supplied independently, or the complete combined soda plant can be provided as a whole.
Uses of Ammonium Chloride Product
1. Agriculture (Largest Application): Used as an ammonium‑nitrogen fertilizer with a 25% nitrogen content; forbidden for chlorine‑intolerant crops; applied to field crops such as grain and cotton.
2. Industrial Uses
• Battery Industry: Raw material for electrolytes in dry‑cell batteries and storage batteries;
• Electroplating Industry: Electroplating flux;
• Chemical Industry: Welding flux and printing‑dyeing auxiliary agent;
