Complete Process Flow of Industrial Sodium Bicarbonate Production Line
Raw materials: Soda ash Na₂CO₃ (produced by combined‑soda process), carbon dioxide CO₂
1. Soda ash dissolving: Solid soda ash is dissolved in water to prepare soda ash aqueous solution of a certain concentration; filter to remove impurities.
2. Carbonation reaction: The soda ash solution is fed into the carbonation tower, and carbon dioxide gas is introduced for carbonation reaction to precipitate sodium bicarbonate crystals.
3. Solid‑liquid separation: Centrifugal filtration to separate sodium bicarbonate crystals; the mother liquor is returned to the dissolving section for recycling.
4. Washing: Water‑wash the crystals to reduce free‑alkali impurities.
5. Drying: Low‑temperature fluidized‑bed drying (the temperature shall not be excessively high to prevent thermal decomposition of sodium bicarbonate).
6. Screening and classification: Screen to obtain products of different particle‑size specifications.
7. Finished‑product packaging and warehousing.

1. The upstream can be connected to the combined‑process soda ash plant to utilize soda ash raw materials on‑site; CO₂ can be recovered from plant tail gas to reduce costs.
2. Low‑temperature drying process inhibits thermal decomposition of products and ensures product purity.
3. Equipped with a refining and purification unit, it can be switched to produce food‑grade baking soda.
