Source: Reaction of concentrated sulfuric acid with potassium chloride，The upstream raw materials are concentrated sulfuric acid produced from pyrite and potassium chloride, which are used to produce agricultural potassium sulfate fertilizer.
Capacity: 2‑20 ten thousand tons per year
Complete Process Flow of Potassium Sulfate Production Line
Raw materials: Concentrated sulfuric acid, potassium chloride KCl (salt‑type raw material)
1. Raw material pretreatment: Crushing and screening of potassium chloride; conveying and batching from concentrated sulfuric acid storage tank.
2. High‑temperature reaction in Mannheim furnace: Potassium chloride and concentrated sulfuric acid are fed into the Mannheim reactor for high‑temperature double‑decomposition reaction at 500‑600℃ to produce crude potassium sulfate, with hydrogen chloride HCl gas as by‑product.
3. Neutralization and deacidification of crude product: Crude potassium sulfate contains free sulfuric acid, which is neutralized with potassium‑based alkaline materials to reduce the free acid index.
4. Cooling, crushing and granulation: Crush after cooling to directly produce powdered potassium sulfate; add granulation section to produce granular potassium sulfate fertilizer.
5. Screening and classification: Qualified granular finished products are obtained, and returned materials are re‑granulated.
6. By‑product hydrogen chloride treatment: HCl gas is cooled and absorbed to produce hydrochloric acid.
7. Finished product packaging and warehousing.

1. Can be connected to pyrite‑based sulfuric acid plants to consume self‑produced concentrated sulfuric acid on‑site;
2. Capable of producing powdered potassium sulfate, and a granulation unit can be added to produce granular fertilizer;
3. By‑produces industrial hydrochloric acid to improve the economic performance of the project;
4. EPC Turnkey Service: process package, complete Mannheim furnace sets, equipment manufacturing, installation and commissioning, personnel training, suitable for overseas chemical fertilizer projects
Uses of Potassium Sulfate Products
1. Agricultural Fertilizer (Core Application): Special‑purpose potassium fertilizer for chlorine‑sensitive cash crops, including tobacco, grapes, fruit trees, potatoes, tea plants and vegetables; supplies potassium elements and improves fruit quality.
2. Chemical Industry: Used for producing potassium salts and potassium alum.
3. Raw material for pharmaceutical and dye intermediates.
