Applications of Lithium Fluoride Products
1. New‑energy lithium‑ion batteries: electrolyte additive, raw material for solid‑state electrolytes;
2. Optical industry (high‑purity LiF): ultraviolet and infrared optical lenses, prisms, coating materials;
3. Metallurgical industry: flux for aluminium electrolysis; flux for non‑ferrous metal welding;
4. Ceramics and enamels: ceramic glazes, enamel fluxing agent;
5. Nuclear industry: shielding material for nuclear reactors.
Complete Process Flow of Lithium Fluoride Production Line
Raw materials: Hydrofluoric acid HF (produced by upstream fluorite‑concentrated sulfuric acid unit), Lithium carbonate Li₂CO₃ (produced by upstream lithium salt section)
1. Raw material preparation: Lithium carbonate is mixed with water to prepare lithium carbonate suspension; hydrofluoric acid is metered and conveyed.
2. Synthesis reaction: In an anti‑corrosion reactor, hydrofluoric acid is slowly added into lithium carbonate slurry under stirring for reaction. Lithium fluoride precipitate is separated out and carbon dioxide gas is released.
3. Aging and washing: The slurry is thermally insulated for aging, and multi‑stage water washing is performed to remove soluble impurities (lithium salts, fluoride salts).
4. Solid‑liquid separation: Centrifugal dehydration is carried out by a centrifuge to obtain lithium fluoride filter cake.
5. Drying and calcination: The filter cake is fed into a rotary drying‑calcining furnace to remove moisture and trace residual fluoride salt impurities at high temperature.
6. Crushing and screening: After cooling, crushing and screening are conducted to obtain lithium fluoride powder of different particle sizes.
7. Sealed packaging.
8. Waste gas recovery of carbon dioxide; fluorine‑containing wastewater from mother liquor is treated for recycling.

1. It can be connected with upstream hydrofluoric acid HF unit and lithium carbonate Li₂CO₃ unit to form a complete industrial chain.
2. Flexible production: The basic version produces industrial‑grade lithium fluoride; with additional deep‑washing and high‑purity calcination sections, battery‑grade and optical high‑purity lithium fluoride can be manufactured.
3. Full‑set anti‑corrosion design, equipped with treatment facilities for fluorine‑containing three‑wastes.
4. EPC turn‑key solution: Process package, equipment manufacturing, installation and commissioning, personnel training, suitable for lithium‑salt fluorochemical industrial parks.
