Source: Industrial hydrochloric acid (HCl) produced by chlor‑alkali unit. Hydrochloric acid undergoes neutralization reaction with ammonia gas (NH₃) to generate ammonium chloride.

Industrial‑grade ammonium chloride
Agricultural‑grade ammonium chloride (nitrogen fertilizer)
Nitrogen content ≥25.4%, white crystal. Used as raw material for nitrogen fertilizer. Use with caution for chlorine‑intolerant crops.
Main Applications of Ammonium Chloride
1. Agricultural fertilizer: High‑efficiency nitrogen fertilizer, suitable for chlorine‑tolerant crops such as rice, wheat and cotton;
2. Industrial galvanizing and electroplating: Auxiliary agent for electroplating processes;
3. Battery industry: Raw material for dry batteries and storage batteries;
4. Metallurgy: Flux for metal welding;
5. Chemical industry: Preparation of other ammonium salts, auxiliary agent for printing and dyeing.
Complete Process Flow of Ammonium Chloride Production Line
1. Raw material supply: Industrial hydrochloric acid delivered from upstream hydrochloric acid section; ammonia gas supplied by purchased sources or supporting synthetic ammonia unit;
2. Neutralization reaction: Hydrochloric acid and ammonia gas flow into the neutralization reactor to produce ammonium chloride aqueous solution via neutralization;
3. Evaporation and concentration: Evaporate ammonium chloride solution to increase its concentration;
4. Cooling crystallization: Cool the concentrated solution to precipitate ammonium chloride crystals;
5. Centrifugal separation: Centrifuge separates crystals from mother liquor, and the mother liquor is recycled;
6. Drying and packaging: Dry solid ammonium chloride and package it as finished product; the mother liquor returns to the process for recycling.
Process Characteristics of Ammonium Chloride Production Line
1. Built in supporting with hydrochloric acid resources from chlor‑alkali plants, featuring advantages in raw material cost;
2. Recycled mother liquor for high material utilization rate;
3. Ammonia gas is volatile, so tail‑gas absorption device must be equipped to prevent ammonia escape;
4. Anti‑corrosion treatment is required for equipment due to acidic contacting media;
