Complete Process Flow of Sodium Silicate Production Line
Raw materials: Soda ash Na₂CO₃ (produced by the combined ammonia‑soda process) + Quartz sand SiO₂
1. Raw material pretreatment: Crush and screen quartz sand, crush soda ash, then meter them according to the target modulus ratio;
2. Mixing and conveying: Thoroughly mix quartz sand and soda ash, then feed the mixture into reverberatory furnace / tank furnace;
3. High‑temperature melting: Solid‑phase melting reaction occurs inside the furnace at 1300‑1450℃, releasing CO₂ gas;
4. Discharging and water quenching: Cool the high‑temperature molten stream by water quenching to obtain block‑shaped solid sodium silicate;
5. Solid post‑treatment: Crush and screen to obtain finished solid sodium silicate;
6. (Optional for liquid water glass production): Feed solid sodium silicate into dissolving tank, dissolve it under pressure with water, perform sedimentation and filtration to get liquid water glass, which is stored in storage tanks;
7. Waste gas treatment: Dedust and desulfurize flue gas from the furnace.
Characteristics of Sodium Silicate Production Line
1. The upstream can connect to the combined‑soda‑process soda ash plant to consume soda ash raw materials on‑site;
2. The modulus can be flexibly adjusted to produce solid sodium silicate of different moduli. An optional supporting dissolving unit can be equipped to produce liquid water glass;
3. The kiln can use coal powder, natural gas and heavy oil as fuels;
4. EPC Turnkey Solution: process package, equipment manufacturing, kiln masonry, installation and commissioning, personnel training, suitable for overseas chemical and building‑material projects.
