Complete Process Flow of Lithium Sulfate Production Line
Raw Materials: Spodumene concentrate, concentrated sulfuric acid
1. Spodumene Crystal Form Transformation Roasting: α‑spodumene is roasted in a high‑temperature rotary kiln to convert into active β‑spodumene, followed by crushing and ball milling.
2. Sulfuric Acid Acidification Roasting: Finely ground spodumene ore powder is fully mixed with concentrated sulfuric acid, and subjected to high‑temperature acidification roasting in an acidification rotary kiln to convert lithium elements into lithium sulfate.
3. Water Leaching Process: Roasted clinker is leached with water; lithium sulfate dissolves into the aqueous solution. Solid‑liquid pressure filtration separation is performed to remove silicon‑aluminum ore residues.
4. Deep Purification and Impurity Removal: Alkali is added to the lithium sulfate leachate to remove heavy‑metal impurities including iron, aluminum, calcium and magnesium. Precision filtration is carried out to obtain purified lithium sulfate solution.
5. Evaporative Crystallization (Optional): The purified lithium sulfate solution undergoes evaporative concentration, cooling crystallization and centrifugal separation to obtain lithium sulfate monohydrate solids, which are dried to produce anhydrous lithium sulfate finished products.
6. Mother Liquor Recycling: Filtered mother liquor is returned to the leaching section for cyclic utilization.
7. Subsequent Processes: The purified lithium sulfate solution can be directly fed into the precipitation section, where soda ash is added to produce lithium carbonate.
