Source: Raw materials are natural gas / coal; synthetic ammonia (NH₃) and carbon dioxide (CO₂) are produced first, and urea is synthesized from ammonia and carbon dioxide under high temperature and high pressure.
Capacity: Complete EPC turnkey plant with a capacity of 1500‑6000 tons per day.
Applications of Urea Products
1. Agriculture (Largest Application): High‑nitrogen fertilizer widely used for field crops; serves as raw material for bulk blended (BB) fertilizer; available in regular prilled and large‑granule urea grades.
2. Industrial Sector: Raw material for flue‑gas denitrification reducing agents in power plants; used for producing urea‑formaldehyde resin and melamine; raw material for automotive‑grade urea.
3. Feed Industry: Feed additive for ruminants.
Urea Production Line Complete Process Flow
Raw materials: Natural gas CH₄ or coal
General logic: Produce synthesis gas → produce hydrogen H₂ and carbon dioxide CO₂; produce nitrogen N₂ via air separation → synthesize ammonia NH₃;
Synthesize urea from NH₃ + CO₂ under high‑temperature and high‑pressure conditions.
Raw gas conversion: Natural gas (or coal) undergoes steam reforming to generate CO and H₂; CO further reacts with steam via shift reaction to yield CO₂ and H₂.
Ammonia synthesis preparation: Hydrogen H₂ and nitrogen N₂ from air separation are catalytically synthesized into ammonia NH₃ under high‑temperature and high‑pressure conditions.
High‑pressure urea synthesis: Ammonia NH₃ and carbon dioxide CO₂ are fed into the urea synthesis reactor to synthesize crude urea solution under high‑temperature and high‑pressure conditions.
Medium‑low pressure decomposition and recovery: Unreacted ammonia and carbon dioxide are recovered and recycled back to the synthesis section.
Evaporation and granulation: Urea solution is concentrated through multi‑stage evaporation, spray‑granulated in the granulation tower, and cooled to obtain granular urea finished product.
Screening, anti‑caking coating, and finished‑product packaging.
Characteristics of the Urea Production Line
1. Two major processes available: natural gas‑based urea and coal‑based urea, adapting to resource conditions in different regions;
2. Mature carbon dioxide stripping process with raw material recycling and recovery for low consumption;
3. Capable of simultaneously producing agricultural granular urea, large‑granule urea and raw materials for vehicle‑use urea;
4. EPC turn‑key service: process package, equipment supply, installation and commissioning, personnel training; suitable for overseas chemical fertilizer industrial park projects.
