Name: PolyAluminum Chloride Production Line
Source: Industrial hydrochloric acid is produced from the chlor‑alkali industrial chain. Hydrochloric acid reacts with aluminum hydroxide Al(OH)₃, and Poly‑Aluminum Chloride (PAC) is produced through acid dissolution, polymerization, sedimentation, concentration and drying.
Process Route: Hydrochloric‑acid‑dissolved aluminum hydroxide process (flow‑chart‑based process). Industrial hydrochloric acid reacts with aluminum hydroxide, followed by basicity adjustment, polymerization reaction, solid‑liquid separation, concentration, and spray‑drying to obtain solid PAC.
Main Applications of PolyAluminum Chloride
1. Municipal drinking water treatment: flocculation, sedimentation and purification of raw water;
2. Industrial wastewater treatment: coagulation and sedimentation for turbidity and phosphorus removal in printing‑and‑dyeing, papermaking and chemical wastewater;
3. Sewage treatment plants: sludge dewatering and suspended‑matter removal;
4. Purification of mine and metallurgical wastewater, as well as oilfield reinjection water.
Complete Process Flow of PolyAluminum Chloride Production Line
1. Raw Material Feeding: industrial hydrochloric acid from chlor‑alkali units and aluminum hydroxide raw materials;
2. Acid Dissolution Reaction: hydrochloric acid and aluminum hydroxide are fed into the reactor for heated acid‑dissolution reaction;
3. Polymerization and Basicity Adjustment: adjust basicity to complete the polymerization reaction;
4. Sedimentation and Residue Removal: remove insoluble impurities to produce liquid PAC semi‑finished product;
5. Spray Drying: liquid PAC is sent into the spray‑drying tower to obtain solid PAC powder via high‑temperature atomization and drying;
6. Finished‑product Packaging: automatic packaging via powder silos; liquid PAC is stored in storage tanks.
Process Features of PolyAluminum Chloride Production Line
1. Using by‑product hydrochloric acid from chlor‑alkali plants as raw material, which greatly cuts raw‑material costs;
2. All equipment in contact with hydrochloric acid medium adopts anti‑corrosion materials (rubber lining, FRP fiberglass‑reinforced plastic);
3. Capable of producing liquid PAC; spray‑drying units can be equipped to produce solid powdered PAC;
4. Available as a standalone EPC turn‑key project, or as a downstream supporting section for chlor‑alkali industrial parks.
