Process Logic: The potassium chloride ion‑membrane electrolysis unit produces synthetic hydrochloric acid. Hydrochloric acid undergoes neutralization reaction with limestone calcium carbonate (CaCO₃). Through impurity removal, filtration, evaporative concentration, granulation/drying, calcium chloride of different forms is produced. This set is a downstream supporting co‑production process for potash‑chlor‑alkali units, which produces calcium chloride using by‑product hydrochloric acid from the unit as raw material.
Main Applications of Calcium Chloride
1. Road De‑icing and Snow Melting: Snow‑melting and de‑icing agent for roads and airports in winter;
2. Desiccant: Drying and dehydrating agent for industrial gases;
3. Building Materials Industry: Antifreeze agent, concrete antifreeze agent, and early‑strength agent for construction;
4. Petroleum Exploitation: Oilfield drilling fluid and completion fluid;
5. Chemical Industry: Refrigerant, brine for refrigeration; raw material for producing various calcium salts;
6. Water Treatment: Wastewater treatment for fluoride ion removal;

Process Characteristics of Calcium Chloride Production Line
1. Downstream co‑production process for chlor‑alkali industry, adopting by‑product hydrochloric acid from ion‑membrane electrolysis unit as raw material to reduce raw material cost;
2. Limestone raw material is widely available; capable of producing multiple specifications of dihydrate and anhydrous calcium chloride simultaneously;
3. The reaction system is strongly acidic, so equipment shall be anti‑corrosion; CO₂ waste gas is generated during neutralization, requiring supporting tail‑gas treatment facilities;
4. Turnkey EPC project available for the whole plant, delivering a full scope from hydrochloric acid neutralization, purification, evaporation, forming to finished‑product packaging;
5. One mother‑liquor production line can be switched to manufacture multiple products including calcium chloride, polyaluminium chloride and ammonium chloride.
