Process Logic: Potassium chloride (KCl) undergoes a heated double‑decomposition reaction with ammonium nitrate (NH₄NO₃) to obtain a mixed solution of potassium nitrate and ammonium chloride. Potassium nitrate crystals precipitate upon cooling, which are separated by centrifugation to yield potassium nitrate crystals. After drying, the main product potassium nitrate (KNO₃) is produced. Ammonium nitrate is supplemented to the separated ammonium chloride mother liquor, which then goes through evaporation and concentration, cooling crystallization and centrifugal separation to produce ammonium chloride crystals. Drying yields the by‑product ammonium chloride (NH₄Cl). The ammonium nitrate mother liquor is recycled back to the front‑end reaction process for reuse. The complete system is a full‑set EPC unit for potassium nitrate co‑producing ammonium chloride via the double‑decomposition method.

Complete Process Route of Ammonium Chloride (NH₄Cl) Production Line
1. Double‑decomposition Reaction: Raw materials potassium chloride (KCl) and ammonium nitrate (NH₄NO₃) are fed and heated to generate a mixed solution of KNO₃ and NH₄Cl.
2. Cooling for Potassium Nitrate Crystallization: The solution is cooled down, and potassium nitrate (KNO₃) crystallizes preferentially. The system consists of KNO₃ crystals and NH₄Cl mother liquor.
3. Centrifugal Separation: Potassium nitrate crystals are separated by centrifugation and dried to obtain finished potassium nitrate products.
4. Mother Liquor Treatment: NH₄NO₃ is added into the separated NH₄Cl mother liquor, which enters the processes of evaporation, concentration, cooling and crystallization to precipitate mixed crystals of NH₄NO₃ / NH₄Cl.
5. Ammonium Chloride Separation and Drying: Mixed crystals are separated by centrifugation to obtain NH₄Cl crystals, which are dried to produce the by‑product ammonium chloride (NH₄Cl).
6. Mother Liquor Recycling: The NH₄NO₃ mother liquor separated by centrifugation is circulated back to the front‑end reaction section for recycling.
