The Sulphuric Acid Recovery Plant adopts a sulfur-based production route. Solid sulfur is first melted and purified before entering the combustion section. The molten sulfur is maintained in a controlled temperature range of approximately 135–148℃ through steam heating. After filtration, purified liquid sulfur is transported to the sulfur furnace for combustion.

During the combustion process, sulfur reacts with dried air to generate sulfur dioxide (SO₂). The generated gas passes through waste heat recovery equipment, reducing the gas temperature while producing steam for plant utilization.

The conversion section uses a "3+1" double conversion process. SO₂ is converted into sulfur trioxide (SO₃) through catalytic reaction stages. After the first conversion stage, gas enters the absorption system to remove SO₃, then returns for secondary conversion to increase sulfur conversion efficiency.
