Sulfuric acid produced by sulfuric acid plants, core applications
1. Largest industrial sector: Fertilizer industry
Sulfuric acid is used to produce phosphate fertilizers including monoammonium phosphate, diammonium phosphate and superphosphate; as well as ammonium sulfate nitrogen fertilizer.
2. Metallurgical industry
Non-ferrous metal smelting: leaching and extraction of copper, zinc, nickel and cobalt ores;
